Heather was the nineteenth camper to arrive on the island in Welcome to Wawanakwa where she quickly gained enemies and instant dislike due to her threatening appearance and personality. She was disgusted by her teammates and attempted to escape her contract by calling her parents and is seen attempting to gain signal throughout the episode. Annoyed by this, Chris stole her phone and used it to explain that all electronics will be confiscated with instant elimination to those caught with it, upsetting Heather greatly. She later cemented a rivalry with Gwen by calling her Weird Goth Girl.

In Cliffdiver, after Chris announced the challenge, she refused to jump until Leshawna grabbed and threw her into the lake. Heather promised Leshawna a taste of her vengeance while swimming toward the shore. Using the excuse of a manicure, Heather refused to help her team with the challenge, and faked an apology to Leshawna about her earlier behavior, acting under the code, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." When Lindsay questioned if she was Heather's friend, Heather reassured her, but added "for now." hinting she didn't care about her. Nonetheless, Heather cheered when her team won the challenge, and participated in Cody's toast to their victory during the hot-tub party.
